This month, we remember those who sacrificed their lives fighting for our freedom– regardless of their nationalities.
Here are some quick facts on Remembrance Day: (source: veterans.gc.ca)
¨ Remembrance Day was first observed in 1919 throughout the British Commonwealth
¨ It was originally called “Armistice Day” to commemorate armistice agreement that ended the First World War on Monday, November 11, 1918, at 11 am. The name was later changed to Remembrance Day in 1931
¨ The poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day. Replica poppies are sold by the Royal Canadian Legion to provide assistance to Veterans
¨ Some of the 54 Commonwealth member states, such as Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, observe the Remembrance Day on Nov 11th. Many nations that are not members of the Commonwealth also observe Remembrance Day on November 11, including France, Belgium and Poland.

October is one of my favorite months of the year, and not just because it’s my birthday month! :) The city is painted with beautiful fall colors everywhere you go bringing smiles to faces. More than ever, there are people in our city of Mississauga who need a little extra support to take care of themselves and their families. This year, Roxana and I, along with the rest of the team, are specially Thankful for the support and trust of those who chose us to help them with their real estate needs, or the ...

After all, we know what Labor means. And many will likely be celebrating Labor Day by Laboring.
Labor Day came about because workers felt they were spending too many hours and days on the job.
In the 1830s, manufacturing workers were putting in 70-hour weeks on average. Sixt ...
